Day 11
Most men are not violent, but most violence is by men
Women suffer violence more frequently than men, and usually by a current or former male intimate partner.
Violence against women, by men, is the leading preventable cause of disease and death for women in Australia.
We’ve got to change these statistics - we can start by checking in with each other. Start the conversation.
We all have a role to play in preventing domestic and family violence. Being an agent for change can start as simply as conversations over a coffee, where you’re willing to ask, “How’s everything at home?”
