16 Days of Activism 2025 Campaign: Building Communities Where Everyone Flourishes
Domestic and Family Violence is an injustice our whole nation cares about. It affects members of our churches as much as it affects members of the broader community.
For the third year, the General Synod Families & Culture Commission is supporting the United Nations 16 days of activism campaign: 25 Nov to 10 Dec to prevent gender-based violence campaign by creating a 16 day faith-based social media campaign which will be run through facebook and Instagram.
The campaign encourages us all to be the kind of people we need to be to prevent and respond to this issue: People who are wise, aware and willing to care.
Please raise awareness of domestic violence in our churches around Australia during this period by:
Including a prayer for victims of gender-based violence in your services on 23 and 30 November, and 7th December
Adding an insert in your church bulletin or e-newsletter
'liking' and sharing our Facebook and Instagram posts. Starting on Sunday 23rd November, we will be posting daily social media posts. These will include prayers for each Sunday of the Campaign.
